It's Pisces Season!

Happy birthday, Pisces! If you were born between February 19 and March 20, you belong to this Zodiac sign.

Element: Air Quality: Fixed Ruling Planets: Uranus/Saturn Ruling House: Eleventh

Pisces are known for their dreamy nature, deep empathy, and creative flair.  Pisces seems to know things from deep within and can often quickly decide if a person or situation is good or bad. While he or she will often follow their strong gut reactions, the Neptunian is also smart and logical, with a strong respect for the power of the human mind.

Positive Traits and Talents

Pisces are very imaginative. After spending hours daydreaming, they quickly reach creative heights

They are kind and empathetic and will go out of their way to ensure the people they care about feel happy and peaceful

You can trust a Pisces to keep your secrets

This water sign respects other people's feelings and is always willing to lend an ear

Pisces people are considered the visionaries of the Zodiac

Pisces Challenges

They need a lot of assurances and not getting one might upset them

They are lethargic at times, especially when they feel a need to escape

This sign spends a lot of time in their heads and can get overly wrapped up in a problem, thinking there’s no way out

While they are always there to lend an ear to others, they tend to wall themselves off, thinking that nobody will understand anyway

The Pisces Design Style

Pisces are the daydreaming mermaids and mermen of the zodiac, so their home may feel somewhat ethereal.

Style is personal for Pisces and because they are sensitive, decorating a room is intentional, and sometimes nostalgic.

Naturally gifted with a fine aesthetic eye, they love to display treasures everywhere.

Pisces rules photography, so you may find independent film posters or framed photos on the wall.

A sign of many moods, a Pisces may embrace all things beachy in the bedroom, with breezy curtains and aqua tones, while embracing their theatrical nature in the dining room with a large crystal chandelier, Victorian-style candlesticks on the table and heavy curtains with tasseled tiebacks on the windows.

Pisces are drawn to the artistic side of cooking so when they cook for you, expect visually stunning foods that tell a story. They have a deep understanding and appreciation for the cultural aspects of cuisine. So, you can expect the table setting to be a part of this cultural cuisine lesson, with every place setting a part of the story, right down to their choice of copper silverware.

A Pisces table setting

The Pisces zodiac sign is depicted by two fish swimming in opposite directions. To honor the water sign and their deep sensitivity, we opted for colors that captured the essence of the ocean and its mysterious depths. Along with aquatic hues we chose textures that resembled the shimmering scales of fish and rolling waves of the ocean.

To embrace the duality of the Piscean personality and contrast the cooling palette we warmed things up with copper silverware. The antique copper handles and polished utensils complement the luminescent salad plate and glossy white seashell.

A coral-shaped candlestick with two candles, a small stack of driftwood sticks, and two white fish platters come together to create a whimsical beachy centerpiece.  The blue glassware and Fiestaware cup and saucer add a cool 1930’s Art Deco touch.

We chose Plateau copper flatware to complete this place setting. The square handles with distinctive beveled edges complement the Art Deco vibe with the copper handles offering a warm, aged patina.

Look to the stars for inspiration! A new handcrafted copper silverware set can instantly elevate your dining experience. Or perhaps you prefer our new PVD flatware collection?
