An easy brie appetizer made by skewering brie, walnuts, and grapes. These delicious and easy-to-prep brie bites have become a favorite, go-to appetizer. Perfect for warm days when you don’t want to turn on the oven and simple enough to keep you relaxed when your guests arrive. Enjoy them served as is, or drizzle them with balsamic glaze or warm honey.

Prep Time: 20 minutes Total Time: 20 minutes Servings: 6-12 skewers Calories: approximately 90 kcal

You’ll need: A set of cocktail picks, a marble cutting board, or a wooden service tray.

Ingredients:

  • 6-12 green grapes
  • Shelled walnuts (one for each appetizer, we placed some in a bowl for those who like to munch)
  • 8 ounces brie (room temperature)
  • Balsamic glaze or hot honey (for drizzling, optional)

Instructions:

Take out the brie about 20 minutes ahead of time and slice into 12 pieces.

Take a cocktail skewer and layer on a green grape.

Carefully pierce a walnut half and slide it next to the grape.

Add a piece of brie.

Keep the appetizers chilled in the refrigerator until time to serve.

Arrange them on a platter. If you want to drizzle them with sauce, we suggest arranging the skewers on their side. Or stand them up if you want to serve them “as is” like we did!

Drizzle them with glaze or honey right before serving.

Substitutions and/or Add-ons:

These appetizer bites are customizable to your favorite flavors for a simple snack or a party. Here are some ideas:

  • Replace the green grapes with red grapes, in-season figs, or melon balls
  • Add prosciutto or salami
  • Switch out the brie with camembert
  • Add a folded arugula leaf for a touch of green and that peppery, crispy bite
  • For fruit on each end, top with a grape and finish with a piece of green apple (if you use apple remember to dip the pieces into lemon juice beforehand to stop them from browning)
