This quick and easy appetizer is the perfect blend of sweet and savory. You can serve this appetizer with or without blue cheese. Simply follow the instructions below!

Prosciutto Wrapped Pears served on the Clara Rose Marble Serving Paddle

Ingredients

2 pears sliced into 8 slices each

8 prosciutto slices

1 ounce blue cheese

2-4 ounces arugula greens

Honey to drizzle

For no cheese recipe:

1 lemon

Fresh thyme leaves (finely chopped)

Extra virgin olive oil for drizzling

2-4 ounces of arugula greens

Instructions:

Wash and dry pears. Quarter each pear. Remove the core by cutting each quarter at an angle. Then cut each piece in half for a total of 8 pieces per pear. *

Crumble or drop a small amount of blue cheese onto each pear slice

Cut each slice of prosciutto in half vertically

Place the pear with cheese on the prosciutto and roll it into a tight bundle

Create a bed of arugula on a marble tray or wood platter

Arrange the prosciutto-wrapped pears on the arugula

Drizzle with honey

* Instructions for no cheese recipe: Dress the pears with freshly squeezed lemon juice, chopped fresh thyme leaves, olive oil, salt, and pepper. On the prosciutto slice, place a few leaves of arugula and a slice of pear. Roll into a tight bundle. Cut each bundle in half for 16 pieces.
