Soft Cheese Spread Board

What started with the TikTok butter board has now become an inspirational way to treat friends and family to hummus spreads or soft cream cheese boards. Serve these boards for breakfast or brunch (think cream cheese and bagels), as a snack for game night, or as part of a Holiday charcuterie table. Sweet or savory, the variations are endless!

Cream cheese spread on Bloom marble cheese board with Celia cheese spreaders

Ingredients:

8 oz. (225 g) container of white cheddar spread or your favorite cream cheese

Castelvetrano olives

Kalamata olives

Brined cherry peppers

Toasted pecans

Extra virgin olive oil

Cured meats (optional)

Fresh herbs (for garnish)

Toasted baguette slices, bagels, or crackers

Preparation Instructions

Remove the cream cheese from the refrigerator and use it at room temperature.

Make sure your favorite wood or marble charcuterie board is clean and dry.

Using a spoon or spatula, spread the cream cheese in a swirl or “petal” pattern in the middle of your board. You’ll want to leave room around the edges for bread, crackers, and/or cured meats.

Start with the larger items (olives and peppers) and scatter them across the cheese spread.

Next, sprinkle on pecan pieces.

Add cured meats if using.

Finally, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and garnish your board with sprigs of parsley, rosemary, or any favorite herbs.

Serve with toasted baguettes, crackers, bagel portions, or pita wedges.

This recipe is delicious as is or use it as an inspirational guide for creating your version of a cream cheese board. For example, a sweet version could include chopped pears or figs, allergy-friendly granola or chopped nuts, and a generous drizzle of honey or nut butter. A fun way to enjoy your favorite cream cheese!
