This recipe comes together quickly a few hours before guests arrive and uses items you can easily get at your neighborhood grocery store.
You’ll need:
Key Ingredients
- 5 ounces of Boursin garlic and fine herbs soft cheese
- 6 - 8 fresh whole garlic cloves, peeled
- 1/4 cup black olives, pitted
- 1/4 cup green olives, pitted
- 1/3 cup of extra virgin olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of dried Italian herb blend
- 1/4 cup finely diced fresh Italian parley
- Sea salt and ground pepper to taste
Coarsely chop the olives and garlic cloves, or leave them whole. Place the olives and garlic in a jar or container with a lid. Pour the olive oil into a separate bowl and whisk together the diced Italian parsley and herbs. Once all the ingredients are well mixed, pour the oil over the olives and garlic cloves. Cover the jar with a lid and marinate the mixture for 30 minutes to an hour, at room temperature.
When ready to serve, place your cheese on a serving dish, topped with the olive, garlic, and olive oil mixture.
Serve with toasted bread slices or crackers. Pairs perfectly with most wines and many foods.
