Have you ever been to a party and noticed that the cheese ball is the first thing to go? These individual mini cheese balls will make sure your guests get their share and the different toppings make them look and taste sensational!
To make these delicious appetizers, you’ll need:

- 2 (12 oz.) packages of cream cheese
- 1 package of herbed goat milk cheese
- 1 cup of finely chopped chives
- 1 cup of chopped walnuts
- 1 cup of chopped crispy bacon
- 1 bag of pretzel sticks (or other thin crackers)
Empty the packages of cream cheese and herbed goat milk cheese into a bowl and mix well. Using a spoon or ice cream scoop, gather up the cheese and form it into balls. Place the cheese balls on a baking sheet or cutting board lined with wax paper. Set aside.
Finely mince or chop different toppings and place them in a bowl. Roll your cheese balls in the topping mixtures until coated and gently pat toppings into place. After coating all the cheese balls, place them on a cheese board or serving platter. Refrigerate until your guests arrive and place the pretzel in the center before serving.
These cream cheese appetizers are great for any occasion. For toppings, you can use crushed potato chips, dried fruits, seeds, and even finely chopped veggies like bell peppers and carrots. In place of a pretzel, you can top your cheese balls with a small cracker or mini pita. Make these the night before and refrigerate them until ready to serve. To keep the pretzel or cracker crispy, don’t place it into the cheese until ready to serve.
