Brie tree appetizers on Eclipse Round Marble Cheese Board

Prep Time: 10 minutes Total Time: 10 minutes Serves: 6 -12 Calories: About 103 kcal (per tree)

Ingredients

8oz Brie wheel

1/4 cup honey

6 to 12 pretzel sticks

1/3 cup nuts (we used a blend of peanuts, pistachios, hazelnuts, walnuts and almonds)

1/3 cup Craisins (dried cranberries)

1/2 cup parsley (optional)

Instructions:

Place the brie wheel on a cutting board and slice it into 6 sections. Leave as is or cut the triangles in half to make 12 trees.

Cut pretzels in half and then push up into the bottom (the widest part) of each triangle tree. Set the trees on a plate.

Combine the nuts, Craisins, and parsley and place them in your food processor, chopping the mixture until fine. You can also chop up the ingredients on a cutting board with a sharp knife to a fine consistency. Add the chopped ingredients to a plate and set aside.

Pour some honey on a plate for dipping.

Using the pretzel stem, take each tree and dip one side into the honey. Next, dip the same side into the nut and dried cranberry mixture.

Place the coated trees on a serving plate or cheese board.

Add some garnish and drizzle on more honey, if desired.

Variations:

🎄You can use any nuts or a combination of nuts.

🎄For a nut-free version, replace the nuts with pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds.

🎄Swap out the dried cranberries with another dried fruit like dried apricots, cherries, or golden raisins.

When it comes to festive gatherings, there's nothing quite like a delightful holiday appetizer to get everyone in the spirit. Our Nut & Cranberry Brie Trees are the perfect addition to your holiday menu. Not only are they visually stunning, but they're also packed with flavors that embody the essence of the season.

To create this holiday appetizer, you'll need a few simple ingredients: a wheel of brie cheese, a selection of mixed nuts, and some dried cranberries. It's important to choose a good quality brie because it will be the star of the dish. You can also include a drizzle of honey or a sprinkle of fresh herbs to elevate the flavors even more.

Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice the brie wheel into small wedges or use a cookie cutter to form festive tree shapes. Arrange the brie pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Next, finely chop the mixed nuts and cranberries, mixing them together in a small bowl. Sprinkle this nut and cranberry mixture generously over each piece of brie, ensuring they are well-coated.

Bake the brie for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is warm and slightly melted. Keep an eye on them to prevent the nuts from burning. Once done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a minute before transferring to a serving platter. You can garnish with a drizzle of honey or a sprinkle of fresh thyme for added flavor and presentation.

This holiday appetizer is not only easy to make but also incredibly versatile. You can prepare them ahead of time and refrigerate until ready to bake. They pair wonderfully with a variety of wines and festive cocktails, making them a hit at any holiday gathering.
