With the spooky season just around the corner, many ghosts and goblins are getting ready for Halloween. Children are planning what costumes to wear for Trick-or-Treating and adults are planning spooky soirees.
Here at INOX Artisans, it isn’t Halloween without bringing out our most unique black flatware for a spectacularly spooky dinner party or a few Ratoncito cheese spreader sets to make the festivities as “cheesy” as possible.

Halloween Party Ideas
Thinking up a spooky theme is part of the fun of planning a party for Halloween. When it comes to decorating for the party, some people go all out. Still, you don’t have to break the bank to decorate your home – a few key decorations to emphasize your party theme are all you need.

A pair of empty witch boots and a flying lessons sign on your front porch is a great way to announce a witchy theme. For a haunted harvest theme, feature a few hay bales and a sinister-looking scarecrow. Inside the party, some crow-themed décor along with traditional pumpkins, cornhusks, and bowls filled with candy corns will complete the haunted harvest vibe.
Plan some monster movie mayhem! Use green and gray colors for a freaky Frankenstein-themed evening. Or wrap things up in white and purple tissue for a Mummy motif. You’ll find tons of examples online for dressing up your home like a Hollywood horror movie set. We chose red and black as our color palette for our Dracula-themed dinner party, with a unique black flatware set as the perfect finish.
Craft Spine-Chilling Tablescapes with Black Flatware
For this black and red Dracula-inspired tablescape we chose a black glass skeleton charger topped with a blood-red plate. And since only a wild rose will keep a vampire in its grave, a red rose napkin. The twisted ribbon-like handles of the Versailles black flatware complete this Gothic table setting.
Who can forget when the evil Queen Grimhilde tricked Snow White into biting into the poisoned apple? An open spell-casting book and a cauldron are the perfect décor pieces for this sorceress table. We think the Twig black flatware with branch-like handles is the ideal choice for this spellbinding rustic cottage scene, don’t you?
It’s Showtime! This whimsical Beetlejuice tablescape is perfect for a spooky soiree. Tedpole black flatware with its squiggly handles in black contrasted by its mirror-polished implements and gleaming polished ends is the perfect finish to this table setting.

Tips for Creating Creepy Charcuterie Boards
When serving food at your Halloween party, it doesn’t take much to up the creepy vibes. A simple addition of skeleton parts or plastic spiders leading toward the food will set the tone.
We found plenty of fun ideas online, including a brie cheese wheel cut into a skull shape and a wedge of brie cut into the shape of a coffin. If you want to try this, we suggest freezing the brie for about 20 minutes to make it easier to cut. Important tip: To write RIP on your coffin, make sure to use a marker that is both edible and food-safe. You can find them in the baking aisle of your local craft store.
Cream cheese is always a crowd-pleaser. This cream cheese bone requires a “hands-on” approach to shape a cream cheese block into a bone shape. For a bone-chilling and delicious topping, we poured some strawberry preserves on top. A cheese spreader is a must for this snack board. While you want to serve your guests something substantial, candy is quintessential to Halloween so including a small candy table is a fun touch. There are so many decorative ways to serve candy to your guests. You could place an assortment of candy in glass jars with labels or use pumpkin-shaped bowls or “cauldrons” as serveware.

Why not create a candy charcuterie board? It’s a great way to arrange candy in a visually appealing way to tempt Trick-or-Treaters. For messy candies, you can always place them in smaller bowls and include them on the charcuterie board. Above, our friend Vicky serves candy on a beautiful charcuterie board. Marble trays and marble cutting boards are great serveware options for serving candy to your Halloween party guests.
Don’t forget the candy corn!
According to the National Confectioners Association in Washington, DC, candy corn has been around for more than 100 years. A fellow named George Renninger of Wunderlee Candy Company created the candy in the 1880s. Originally called “chicken feed”, it came in boxes with a rooster on the front to appeal to America’s agricultural roots.
If you’re one of the few people who haven’t tasted this Halloween candy favorite, it is a tasty blend of creamy fondant, marshmallow, and vanilla. The texture is nowhere near that of corn, it is soft and buttery.
A fun party game is to fill a clear glass jar with candy corn and have your guests guess how many are in the jar. The guest that comes closest to the right amount wins a prize!
A simple chalkboard on a stand is a fun way to add some personality to your candy and treat table.
Stainless steel serveware is always a good choice and our Beetlejuice-inspired snack table includes beautifully handcrafted hammered bowls. The hammered leaf bowl is perfect for the season, with four bowls for serving sweet, savory, and spooky snacks. The Full Polished Stainless Steel Bowl and Hammered Chilly Nut Bowl serve up crunchy favorites.
We hope you enjoyed these tips and ideas for creating a spine-chilling dinner party or fun Halloween-themed party. Are you planning on throwing a spooky soiree of your own?
