You’ll love how quickly these cream cheese mice munches come together. Whether you make them as a snack for your family or as a fun party appetizer, cheese lovers of all ages will find them hard to resist!

Prep Time: 5 minutes Total Prep Time: 5 minutes Servings: 8 Calories: approx. 100kcal (per serving)

Ingredients:

  • 8 spreadable cream cheese wedges (we used Happy Farms creamy original cheese wedges from Aldi’s)
  • 8 whole wheat or whole grain round crackers
  • Fresh chives
  • 1 package of baby carrots
  • Black peppercorns

Instructions:

Place some crackers on a charcuterie board or serving platter.

Unwrap our cheese wedges and place them on the crackers.

Cut baby carrots into thin slices. Place one carrot “ear” on each side of the cheese wedge, about 1/3 of the way down the pointed part of the cheese wedge.

Pour out some peppercorns into a dish or bowl. Hand-pick smaller ones for the eyes and larger ones for the snout. Make eyes and noses for each mouse.

Finish up with a chive for the mouse tail.

Your mouse cheese appetizers are ready to serve to your family or guests.

You can make these cheese snacks in advance and keep them in the fridge. To avoid the crackers becoming soggy, assemble your cheese mice and leave them on a plate. Add them to the crackers when you are ready to serve them.

If you’d rather not use crackers you can substitute toasted bread. Simply toast the bread, cut it into triangles, and top each piece with a cheese mouse.
