This cheese and olive appetizer comes together in about 5 minutes. Keep it simple with grocery store ingredients for a weekend family snack or get fancy with gourmet cheeses and our artisan-crafted stainless steel olive/cocktail picks.

Prep Time: 5 minutes Total Prep Time: 2 hours 5 minutes Servings: 6 Calories: approx. 204 kcal (for 1 serving)

Ingredients:

  • 6 ounces sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3 ounces Swiss cheese
  • 1 green bell pepper
  • ¼ cup of black olives
  • ¼ cup pimento-stuffed Spanish green olives
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon white distilled vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon dried Italian herbs

Instructions:

Cut cheese and peppers into bite-sized squares.

Place cheese, peppers, and olives in a mixing bowl.

Pour in the olive oil and vinegar and mix all the ingredients until well coated.

Cover and refrigerate for about 2 hours. Take out about 15 minutes before serving and thread ingredients onto cocktail picks.

While you could eat these right away, they will taste much better after they’ve had time to marinate. You’ll be glad you waited!

This recipe is very budget-friendly and perfect for occasions when you don’t need or want a full cheese platter. A great weekend snack or party appetizer, this will keep in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. (If storing in the refrigerator, remove them from the skewers and place them in a covered container.)

You can easily substitute the cheese and olive varieties with your favorites and use a red, yellow, or orange pepper.
