Baked Brie Pumpkin with Sundance Cheese Accessories Set

Prep Time: 5 minutes Cook Time: 20 minutes Total Time: 25 minutes Serves: 5-6

Ingredients

  • 1 puff pastry sheet, thawed for about 20-30 minutes
  • 1 8-ounce wheel of Brie
  • 1/3 cup of your favorite fig jam or pumpkin butter, applesauce, etc.
  • 1 egg white, whisked
  • 1 cinnamon stick and a few sage leaves

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375°F.

Place your thawed puff pastry on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Spread the pumpkin butter or jam around the center of the pastry and add the Brie round on top.

Wrap the puff pastry around the Brie and pinch the edges to seal it.

Cut about 6 strings of baker’s twine. Tie them around the wrapped Brie to form a pumpkin shape. Be sure to tie them tight enough to make indentions in the puff pastry.

Take your egg white and brush it over the pastry.

Place your pumpkin and baking sheet in the oven to bake for about 18-20 minutes or until the puff pastry is a light golden brown.

Once baked, allow the Brie to cool for several minutes. Carefully cut and remove the strings.

Place the cinnamon stick (pumpkin stem) in the center with one or more sage leaves. *

Serve your Baked Brie Pumpkin warm with your choice of crackers, pretzels, French baguette, fresh fruits like apples, grapes, and/or assorted dried fruit.

*if fresh sage is unavailable, use mint or basil to get the pumpkin look.
